“It has been recognized that the dysfunctions of muscles and joints are so closely related, the two should be considered a single, inseparable functional unit” – Dr. Vladimir Janda

Chiropractors treat variety of injuries from head to toe involving almost all joints in the body. With our sports related approach, Performance Chiropractic treats numerous injuries including sciatica, rotator cuff injuries, runner knee, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendinitis, postural syndromes, shoulder impingement, carpal tunnel syndrome, muscle imbalances, headaches, and core instability, among other things.

Come in for an assessment and the team at Performance Chiro can create a custom plan for your specific needs.

While treatment lengths vary somewhat from person to person and from condition to condition, there are a few rules of thumb you can follow.

1) Newer injuries, if treated appropriately and immediately, tend to improve after fewer visits – assuming that major tissue injury has not occurred. Many of these first time injuries can be effectively managed in as little as 6 to 7 visits.

2) Conditions that have been present for greater than 3 months and recurring conditions are generally more stubborn and difficult to treat. Resolution may require 12 visits or more.

Believing that an injury will simply “go away” on its own is counterproductive. It is important to understand that the longer your condition has been around, the more treatments it will eventually require to resolve. Prompt and appropriate action is best and most effective.

The only sure way to determine how long your treatment will take is to schedule a consultation and/or examination and get a personalized plan for your needs.

The treatments themselves are generally not painful.

In fact, most patients look forward to their treatments as many experience instantaneous relief. Individuals who already have moderate to severe pain associated with the injury or issue may experience some minor discomfort during treatment; however, care is always gentle, safe, and non-invasive.
